This soldier, who is risking his life to defend our country, rights, and freedoms, has to hide who he is in order to do so (for now). This is heartbreaking and disgusting at the same time. Yes, DADT is on it’s way out.. but there is still a huge amount of hate for these young men and women in this country, and still rights that they aren’t allowed to have.
To think that this young man could die tomorrow to uphold the laws that keep him from marrying someone he loves (in most states) is pretty gut-wrenching to me.
